The lake awaits.

It’s not the Queen, and we prefer that, actually. Put-in at the state launch site, or visit the marina and make your way out on the water. Surrounded by mountain views and dotted with islands, you can’t beat Brant for beauty.

The lake acts as a backdrop for cycling loops, and trails that traverse the hills surrounding the watershed. Stay in the perfect lakeside cottage, stop in for a sammy and some suds at The Hub, or gear up at Crossroads. Practice your ‘boat wave,’ we’ll see you out there!

It’s a community built on beauty. The Eastern shore of Schroon Lake is quiet and unique. Adirondack is where families retreat to for sandy beaches, hikes in the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness, and sunsets on the dock. Is the entire State Park named after a single scenic hamlet? Everything to do.

During the summer, it’s mountain biking at the Ski Bowl Park. Spring runoff brings the Hudson to a froth for white water rafters. Autumn’s colors are best enjoyed from a rail bike through the forest and across picturesque trestles. But oh, winter: Gore Mountain is consistently ranked as a top Eastern ski resort, recently earning the #8 spot in Ski Magazine’s 2025 Reader Survey for its expansive terrain and value. 

If alpine sports aren’t your thing, stop downtown for delights, antiques, and accommodations.

Woods, waters, and wellness.

Getting away from it all is easy to do in Johnsburg. From the summit of Gore Mountain to the banks of the Hudson River, the sparkling waters of Thirteenth Lake to the laddered climb up Crane Mountain, Johnsburg is an outdoor lover’s playground.

Lose yourself in the forest, find yourself in a labyrinth, in the quiet of the Adirondacks. Hikers, mountain bikers, wellness gurus, and paddlers can all have the place to themselves—at the same time.

Just off Northway Exit 26 you’ll find charming cafés, boat access to Schroon Lake, campgrounds, ice cream parlors, and natural wonders.

Pottersville is home to Natural Stone Bridge and Caves, a geological display that families love to explore and photograph. Classic Adirondack natural beauty you have to see to believe.
